Migration
We take over your whole cable lineup.
Send us your datasheets just as they are today. We turn every cable type into a 3D model with images, drawing, datasheet and catalog page.
Who it's forFor manufacturers and distributors whose cables already exist: management, sales, marketing.
In short
- You send: what already exists
- We build: every cable type
- We check: every cable
- You approve: only then is it online
What exists today
What you have afterward

What does migration mean?
What it is
In a migration we take over your whole cable lineup and bring it into your own portal.
You send us what already exists. You prepare nothing, nothing technical either. If something is missing, we ask.
Five kinds of documents, each with a sentence: datasheets, Excel sheets, your catalog, old images, and logo and print.
What you send us
- DatasheetsAs PDF, just as they are. They matter most.
- Excel sheetsArticle numbers, sizes, diameters and weights, for example from your ERP.
- Your catalogAs PDF or in print. It shows us how you group your cables.
- Old imagesIf there are any: they show colors and print.
- Logo and printWhat is printed on the jacket, so the images show your cable.
Key terms
- Cable type
- One design from your lineup, for example a control cable, with all of its sizes.
- Size
- One size of a cable type, with its own article number and its own values.
- Portal
- Your own area at Cable Creations. Your cables stand there, and your catalog, images and datasheets come from there.
- Approve
- You release a cable for your catalog. Before that, nobody outside your company sees it.
How does it run?
How it runs
You send your documents, we build and check every cable, and you approve it.
We do the building and the checking. After that the portal makes the images and the datasheet by itself.
The process in six stations on one line: you send documents. We build every cable and check it. The portal makes the images. You look at everything and put the catalog online.

Step by step
- Step 1 of 6: You
Send your documents
Datasheets as PDF or Excel, plus your catalog. Just as they are today.
- Step 2 of 6: We
Build every cable type
We build every cable type as an exact 3D model, just as its datasheet describes it.
- Step 3 of 6: We
Check every cable
Someone on our staff checks every cable before you see it. If a value is missing, we ask.
- Step 4 of 6: The portal
Images come by themselves
From every model the portal makes the standard images, the cross-section drawing and the datasheet.
- Step 5 of 6: You
Look and check
You see every cable in your portal. If something is wrong, tell us, and we change it.
- Step 6 of 6: You
Put the catalog online
You approve the cables. Only then do they stand in your online catalog.
From folder to catalog
The drawing shows once more how mixed documents turn into models and a catalog.
From folder to catalog
- Your documents arrive as they are: PDFs, a spreadsheet, images, 3D files.
- We read every construction and write it down as construction data.
- The data produces the model, the cross-section drawing, and the images.
- The cables are in your portal as drafts, ready for the catalog.
What do you get for every cable type?
What you get for every cable type
For every cable type you get a 3D model, a cross-section drawing, images, a datasheet, a catalog page and a QR code.
All cables look alike: the same light, ends stripped the same way. Your lineup looks all of a piece.
The sizes come in as a spreadsheet, up to 2000 rows at once.
A cable type taken over, with its image and six numbered fields for what belongs to it: 3D model, cross-section drawing, standard images, datasheet, catalog page and QR code.

- 13D model
- 2Cross-section drawing
- 3Standard images
- 4Datasheet
- 5Catalog page
- 6QR code
What the numbers show
3D model
To turn in the browser and as a file for design work.
Cross-section drawing
The construction as a drawing with a legend, for print and web.
Standard images
Main image, side view and a short video of the layers. They come by themselves and cost nothing.
Datasheet
As PDF, in German and English, with your logo.
Catalog page
Public under your name, once you approve the cable.
QR code
A fixed code per cable, for samples, drums and brochures.
What does it bring you, and where are the limits?
Advantages and limits
Your whole lineup comes into the portal in one style, with no project of your own, but not without datasheets and not overnight.
Advantages
No project in your company
Your effort is a folder of documents and a few answers to our questions.
Everything fits together
Model, drawing, datasheet and images come from the same data.
Images in one style
Every cable in the same style, even if the old images were all different.
Checked before you see it
Someone on our staff checks every cable before it reaches your portal.
Nothing goes public without you
A cable stands in the catalog only once you approve it.
Afterward you carry on yourself
You order new cables, more images and videos yourself in the portal.
Limits
No values, no model
We do not build a cable from a photo alone. If a value is missing, that cable type waits until it is there.
No fixed duration up front
How long it takes depends on the number of cable types and on your documents. We name the timeline once we have seen them.
More images cost extra
The standard images are included. You order more motifs and videos when needed and pay them with the monthly invoice.
The portal costs monthly
You pay the takeover once. After that, portal and catalog run in a package with a monthly price.
Not the right tool if:
- You have only a few cables: then simply order them one at a time in the portal.
- There are no datasheets and no details of the construction for your cables.
- You only look for a place to store existing images: the migration builds models, it does not move files.

What is different from today?
Compared with today
Today each cable is spread over datasheet, spreadsheet, image folder and catalog; afterward each cable has one source for everything.
Today a cable's datasheet, spreadsheet, image, and 3D file lie apart and do not match. After the migration, the image, drawing, and datasheet come from one single row of data.
Today
Leave it as it is
Where a cable livesSpread over PDF, spreadsheet, image folder and catalog
After the migration
Migration
Where a cable livesIn one place, in your portal
| Aspect | Leave it as it is | Rebuild it yourself | Migration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Where a cable lives | Spread over PDF, spreadsheet, image folder and catalog | Wherever someone enters it again | In one place, in your portal |
| When a value changes | Update every document by hand | Update it by hand again | Drawing and datasheet are made anew |
| Images | Old and inconsistent | Have every cable photographed again | Every cable in the same style, by itself |
| Effort on your side | Ongoing, with every change | A project of its own with its own people | Send documents, answer questions, approve |
What do we need from you, and what does it cost?
What we need and what it costs
We need only your documents and someone for questions; you pay once per cable type.
A price table of the takeover: the more cable types, the less each one costs. Below it, what costs nothing: sizes and setup.
The takeover, once
- 1 to 100
- €49 per cable type
- 101 to 500
- €35 per cable type
- from 501
- €25 per cable type
Each price applies to the cable types in its row.
- Sizesfree
- Setup feenone
- You payonce, when the cable is ready
Example: for 40 cable types you pay €1,960 once.
All prices net, plus VAT.
What you need
Your datasheets
As PDF or Excel. They should state construction, dimensions and materials.
Logo and print
So datasheet and images look like your company.
Someone for questions
A person who knows where each value is written.
Time to look
Your team looks through the cables before it approves them.
What the takeover costs
You pay once per cable type, with no setup fee. The more cable types, the cheaper each one. Sizes cost nothing extra.

What else do people ask?
Frequent questions
Short answers to what is usually still open before a migration.
- Do we have to prepare anything?
- No. Send your datasheets as PDF or Excel, just as they are. If something is missing, we ask.
- How long does the takeover take?
- That depends on the number of different cable types and on how complete the documents are. We name a timeline once we have seen your documents.
- What does the takeover cost?
- You pay once per cable type, with no setup fee. The more cable types, the cheaper each one. Sizes cost nothing extra. The prices are on this page.
- Do we see the cables before they are public?
- Yes. Every cable first stands only in your portal. It becomes public only when your team approves it.
- Can we try it first?
- Yes. In the trial we set up your portal with your first cables. Their takeover costs nothing during the trial.
- Can we continue on our own afterward?
- Yes. You order new cables one at a time in the portal. You order more images and videos when you need them.
